There were 20 trainers from Area Melaka Tengah who came and conducted today's Basic First Aids (BFA) Exam at our school hall.
Every St.John Ambulance Malaysia member is required to sit for the BFA examination and must pass the exam in order to become a valid SJAM member.
There were two parts in this Exam:
1) Theory test on the knowledge of first aid
and
2) Practical test on five categories
i)CPR
ii)choking
iii) bandaging
iv) lifting (patient transportation)
v)splinting
Candidates must pass both the theory and practical tests in order to obtain the certificate.
